Mobile Network has evolved from 2G to 3G to 4G and now 5G. Every phase have done value addition by providing better network, increased speed and availing rich content to subscribers. Transformation of Mobile generation have given opportunity to the mobile Industry to generate more revenues by providing more value added services.
5G technology will make things connected to things, things to people & off course people to people. It is expected to be widely used for private networks with applications in industrial IoT, enterprise networking, and critical communications.
5G network will have a dense, distributed network of base stations in the small cell infrastructure to provide greater bandwidth. This will also allow more processing to happen on the edge, leading to increased capacity, lower latency, and faster speeds.
5G can support up to a million devices per square kilometer, while 4G supports only up to 100,000 devices per square kilometer.
It is expected that the speed of a 5G network will be around 2Gbit/s.
